No work will be assigned this week.
I will be entering grades into the grade-book all day today and tomorrow. I plan on having your final grade in no later than Thursday. With that being said...
There are many students who failed to take an assessments or assessments during the days I had the quizzes open. If you happen to be one fo those students, PAY ATTENTION.
I will be setting times for grade levels to take certain test on Thursday. You will need to check this tab, my homework tab and or google classroom for times. This will be the only time it will be offered.
Please refrain from sending me emails regarding your grade until you see the updated grade-book, Wednesday/early Thursday.
I hope you all have a great last week.
Distant Learning Week 9: 5/18-22
I know you just finished making a video last week BUT... the video we will be making for this week has been an idea of mine since the beginning of Distant Learning. So here I go...
I would like for you to make a video on the things you took for granted, at school, at home, and out in your community. I would also like for you to ask the people in your life what they took for granted.
I know a lot of you are having issues with your iMovie so I prefer you turn in a using photo booth. It will allow you to turn in a video every day and follow the prompts given in google classroom.
Monday:
1. What caused us to experience distant learning?
1. Basically, I would like to know your knowledge on the Corona Virus and how it spreads.
2.Why was it important to shut schools down, certain stores, etc.
3. Why is it important for people to wear mask?
4. What kind of people are more susceptible to getting the Corona Virus?
5. If you have family members who work in the health industry, give them a little shot out and tell them why their efforts are appreciated.
Each daily video will need to be around 4 to five min. Remember, if you don't know a lot about the questions I asked, then as your parents.
I will post the prompt for tomorrow, tomorrow haha. Hint, it will relate to school.
Tuesday:
What did you take for granted by being able to go to school?
--your teachers?
--your friends?
--being in the classroom?
--the process of getting ready for school (I do because I like to do something to myself) but I do like wearing relaxing clothes.?
Would you rather remain on distant learning or would you like to go back to our traditional schedule?
Wednesday:
What did you take for granted by being able to go out in public?
What do you miss the most?
How do you feel about wearing a mask when going out in public?
If your parents have to work, does that make you a little nervous?
What did your parents take for granted with the new public restrictions and closures?
Provide a list of the top three things you will do first once restrictions and limitations are lifted.
YOU CAN ALWAYS IMPROVE A LITTLE ON THESE QUESTIONS. OR IF YOU HAVE OTHER THINGS YOU WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THAT I DIDN'T ASK, YOU MAY. THIS IS ALL ABOUT YOU OPENING UP AND SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME.
Thursday:
Overall, what has been your overall experience with distant learning?
Do you think you and your teachers transitioned well? from being on campus to everything being on line?
Were there parts of distant learning that you enjoyed? Didn't enjoy?
What are your predictions for the beginning of our new school year. Do you think it will start as normal, all of us on campus?
Do you think we might be starting off the same way we ended, distant learning.
What is your overall message for the Corona Virus? If you could say something to it, what would you say?
FRIDAY:
EXTRA CREDIT VIDEO
Share a 3 to five min video with me about life in general.
What are somethings you are looking forward to?
Distant Learning Week 8: 5/11-15
I am suppose to create a lesson around a cookie cookie video made by one of our teachers. Unfortunately, we just finished a Civil War Unit. Instead, I thought it was a good idea to do a DIY video instead and still meet the desired needs of admin and this must do lesson for this week; plus, give you an easy and less stressful week.
DIY:
Make a “episode” a DIY video of you doing something around the house. This could be something you are accomplished at or something new. Upload your completed video to google classroom
This can also be something you can do on the Civil War unit. You can make a soldier diary Show us what equipment a soldier on any side would use in battle You can make a cooking portion or just show us how to make a known dish from the south “hardtack”
Please have your idea for this DIY video submitted by tomorrow. Just a short explanation of what your video will be about.

Abraham Lincoln:
Abraham Lincoln’s public justification for war evolved over his years in public office. In fact, the entire meaning of freedom and equality - ideals of the Declaration of Independence – evolved during the war as well. As a senatorial candidate in the 1850s, Lincoln argued for the preservation of the Union and against the expansion of slavery to the west. As the war progressed, he emphasized freedom and the abolition of slavery more. While Lincoln’s most famous act may have been freeing the slaves and so bringing “a new birth of freedom,” some historians argue that this was not his original intention
